Vollering, Fisher-Black, Shackley out of Tour of Scandinavia
Demi Vollering, SD Worx’s hope for general classification victory at the Tour of Scandinavia, did not start stage 5 after crashing in the final kilometres of the previous stage. Vollering’s teammates Niamh Fisher-Black and Anna Shackley were also absent from the Queen stage start line.
SD Worx reported late on Friday that Fisher-Black, who won the Youth classification at the Giro Donne in 2021 and 2022, would not continue in the race due to a fractured collarbone.

After finishing second overall at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Vollering was in prime form for the 11 km climb that will end the Tour of Scandinavia’s Queen stage on Saturday.
Fisher-Black and Vollering crashed with 4 km to go, just outside the 3 km rule, on stage 4 and finished five minutes down on the winner Alexandra Manly. Shackley was in the same crash but lost only 52 seconds at the finish.
SD Worx is left with only Elena Cecchini, Blanka Vas, and Sina Frei for the final two stages of the six-day event.
