Uttrup Ludwig, Brown, Cavalli headline FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope's 2022 roster
FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope unveiled its complete 2022 roster on Friday. The team remains mostly the same, having signed a handful of riders in 2020 on two-year deals, with the addition of Grace Brown and Vittoria Guazzini in 2022.
With Brown and Guazzini, an Australian and an Italian, joining the once a French development team, FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope continues to bolster its international roster. At the same time, they have kept French national road champion Evita Muzic and 2019 French national road champion Jade Wiel. Both are rising young talents on the French road racing scene.
The teams top fighting force, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig signed a two-year deal during the height of the pandemic last summer. In fact, the team made sure their core group of riders had job security even when the possibility of racing again in 2020 was uncertain.
Marta Cavalli, Maëlle Grossetête, and Victorie Guilman were recently handed contract extensions for 2022. Cavalli in particular has been an amazing addition to FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope and performed exceptionally well at the Giro Donne by climbing to fourth place at both of the races mountain top finishes.
