UAE Tour route includes two summit finishes and a time trial

Organizers have unveiled the route for the 2021 UAE Tour, which is set to be the first WorldTour race of the season following the cancellation of this year’s Tour Down Under and Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.

The likes of Tadej Pogacar, Mathieu van der Poel, and Chris Froome, who are among the many big names on the start list of the seven-day event, will take on a variety of challenges in the race, which starts on February 21 in Abu Dhabi.

An opening stage likely to favor the sprinters will be followed by the first time trial in the event’s history in stage 2. Stage 3 will then take on the challenging Jebel Hafeet climb. Stage 4 will favor the fast finishers before stage 5 visits the lengthy Jebel Jais climb. Stages 6 and 7 will be further opportunities for the sprinters.

Boels Rental and Dolmans Landscaping Group will continue to sponsor SD Worx after name change

The former Boels-Dolmans team may have changed its name to SD Worx, but it will continue be sponsored by Boels Rental and Dolmans Landscaping Group this season.

The team announced last year that the team would be known as SD Worx from 2021 through 2024 after its long stint as Boels-Dolmans. On Wednesday, the team announced that Boels Rental and Dolmans Landscaping Group would continue to support the team even with SD Worx taking on the title sponsor role. Both Boels and Dolmans are featured on the team’s recently unveiled jersey for 2021.

Socially Speaking
