Tinker Juarez and Genevieve Jeanson join new Floyd’s of Leadville gravel team

Floyd’s of Leadville will sponsor a team that will race in gravel and mountain bikes events next year and will feature some notable names from the world of cycling – and company founders Floyd Landis and Dave Zabriskie will also take part in a few events with the team, too.

Will Geoghegan will run the CBD company-sponsored squad and Paul Thomas will serve as director in addition to racing on the team, whose roster will include David “Tinker” Juarez, Geneviève Jeanson, Taylor Lideen, Anne Donley, and Victor Cashes.

Juarez, a multi-time Olympian, national champion, and masters world champion who turned 60 this past March, will continue racing with the new squad after a longterm deal with Cannondale came to end this year. Jeanson, who won La Flèche Wallonne in 2000, is returning to competitive cycling after she left racing behind in 2006 following a doping positive. Lideen won this year’s Unbound XL race and was recently announced among the selections for the inaugural Life Time Grand Prix series. Donley is a Colorado-based road racing veteran, while Cashes is an up-and-comer in the mountain biking scene who has raced under-23 events for Team USA.

Landis and Zabriskie will occasionally race alongside the rest of the squad.

“After taking a couple years away from racing, we felt the timing was right to get back into it,” Landis said, as VeloNews reports. “Bicycle racing is where our core customers spend their energy and attention and we felt that being at the races would be an important step to further grow our brand. Our aim with the program is to create a family feeling, and develop a racing culture that emphasizes the experiences and stories we will share together, more than racing results. We are looking forward to connecting with all cyclists out there.”
