Seven Bora-Hansgrohe riders hit by driver at training camp
A group of seven Bora-Hansgrohe riders was hit by a car while training together in northern Italy on Saturday, sending three riders to the hospital for further evaluation.
Wilco Kelderman, Rüdiger Selig and Andreas Schillinger are currently undergoing medical evaluation. Kelderman and Selig appear to have suffered concussions, according to the team. The complete results of the evaluations have not yet been released.
The other four riders involved in the incident, Marcus Burghardt, Anton Palzer, Maximilian Schachmann, and Michael Schwarzmann, returned to the team hotel with minor injuries.
The incident occurred near the end of the team’s training camp near Lake Garda. Details of how the crash occurred have not yet been released.
