Cycling world remembers journalist Richard Moore

Richard Moore, a legendary journalist, award-winning author and founding member of The Cycling Podcast, has died. He was 49.

Moore was recently in Belgium over the weekend covering Gent-Wevelgem and passed away on Monday with his podcast colleagues confirming his death in a heartfelt social media post on Wednesday. Out of respect for his family, the details of his passing have not been made public.

Moore, born in 1973, had a successful racing career, which culminated in representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games. However, he rose to fame as a legendary journalist. He wrote for nearly every English-speaking cycling publication on the circuit at one time or another and penned an array of must-read books. His great works include Slaying the Badger, Etape, the Dirtiest Race in History, Sky’s the Limit, and the Bolt Supremacy.
