Rapha debuts new, more versatile Pro Team collection

Rapha has released the latest iteration of its race-oriented, sleek and form-fitting Pro Team collection for Spring 2020, and this time it includes an all-new women’s Pro Team range.

Both the men’s and women’s ranges will include a Pro Team Training kit, a standard Pro Team kit, and Pro Team Aero Jersey, which will launch throughout the 2020 spring season. Rapha took feedback and design elements from its two World Tour teams, CANYON//SRAM women’s racing team, and the EF Education First Pro Cycling men’s team.

On the women’s side, a Women’s Pro Team Training Jersey, which will be available February 20th, is exactly how it sounds. It is their more relaxed fit with design improvements to support more volume in the back pockets for long hours spent on the road. The Women’s Pro Team Training Jersey is available in carbon grey, orange, and white, and costs US$115. To accompany the jersey is the Women’s Pro Team Training Bib Short, which will be available March 16th, and will cost US$190. Available in black/white, the Training Bibs offer a new compressive main fabric and high-density Pro Team chamois designed for longer training miles.

When base miles give way to race miles, the Women’s Pro Team Jersey and Bib Shorts are designed to offer higher performance, especially as the days grow warmer. Both products will be availabile for March 23rd. The jersey, which will be available in grey blue, black, and white and costs US$165, uses an ultra-lightweight fabric, low profile collar, taped seams, and an alternate fabric on the larger front and back panels that offer UPF50 sun protection.

The Women’s Pro Team Bib Short has been designed with feedback from the CANYON//SRAM riders, who helped reshape the bibs offering more mid-section support, a slimmed-down bib strap design, and a redesigned female-specific, dual-density chamois. Rapha also claims the fabric incorporates recycled materials, creating a 20% decrease in environmental impact. The bibs will be available in black/white and dark navy/white, in both short and regular lengths, and cost US$270.

Rapha will also be offering a Women’s Pro Team Aero Jersey, which is designed around CANYON//SRAM’s world championship skinsuit design. The Aero Jersey will be available in light blue, carbon grey, orange, light grey, dark navy, dark purple, and two additional printed versions, and costs US$195.

For the men’s Pro Team Training Jersey uses similar construction and fabrics, making it optimal for longer rides with pockets filled with snacks. It will be available February 20th in light blue, carbon grey, orange, light grey, dark navy, dark purple, and two additional printed versions and costs US$115. The accompanying Pro Team Training Bib Shorts continue with notable upgrades to fabric and the chamois. They will also be available on February 20th in black/white and black, and cost US$180.

Available March 23rd will be the all-new men’s Pro Team Jersey, available in black, navy, orange, and white, and costing US$165, as well as an updated Pro Team Bib Shorts II available in black/white, black, navy, carbon grey, black/dark purple (in regular and long versions) for US$270. The Pro Team Aero Jersey is also a new addition to the range becoming available March 30th in black, navy, dark purple, and a printed red. The aero jersey will cost US$195 and will round out the men’s Pro Team range.
