Primož Roglič will ride on with Jumbo-Visma through 2025

Primož Roglič will stick with Jumbo-Visma for the next four seasons after signing a contract extension on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old Slovenian, who has won the last three Vueltas a España in a row, will ride on with Jumbo-Visma through the 2025 season.

“I have grown with this team since I arrived in 2016,” Roglič said via a team press release announcing the news. “We already have quite a history together that I am very proud of. I made my debut in the World Tour peloton at a somewhat later age. It may have looked easy, and the best moments surface the fastest, but it wasn’t always easy. Still, things have moved forward rapidly for me and my development. I am not solely responsible for those beautiful moments. I did that together with my teammates and the staff. It is great to be part of this team in the coming years as well.”

Roglič has emerged as one of the sport’s top contenders since arriving from the Adria Mobil Continental team. In his six years with the team, he has won 15 Grand Tour stages, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, an Olympic time trial title, and numerous one-week races, in addition to finishing on the podium at both the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.

Roglič’s contract already ran through 2023, but his new deal will keep him with the squad through his 10th year with the organization.

“This contract extension allows us to make plans and objectives for the coming years in which he will play a central role,” said sport director Merijn Zeeman. “Primoz is one of the pillars of the team. The culture that we have built together is very applicable to the athlete and the person Primoz Roglic.”
