Preview: What you need to know about stage 3 of the 2022 Giro d'Italia

Date: Sunday May 8
Start: Kaposvár
Finish: Balatonfüred
Distance: 201 km

The final day in Hungary is the first real opportunity for the sprinters. As you can see below it’s a very flat stage with only the most minor of climbs towards the end. Ewan seemed to be in great form in the uphill finish of stage 1, but it’s unclear how his crash will affect him. Cavendish, meanwhile, will benefit from the great lead-out prowess of Michal Mørkøv. Others to watch include Arnaud Démare, Fernando Gaviria, Phil Bauhaus, Giacomo Nizzolo, and Biniam Girmay.
