There are a few lumps throughout the day but nothing categorised and nothing that will stop this ending in a bunch kick in Montilla. The road is slightly uphill for the final 1 km but this will still be a bunch gallop.
BikeExchange-Jayco’s Kaden Groves will be looking to double up on his Grand Tour stage victories after his debut win on stage 11, while Trek-Segafredo’s Mads Pedersen is unlikely to give up until Madrid in his search for a stage victory, which will also add points to his green jersey tilt. Tim Merlier and Danny van Poppel looked fast earlier in the week and will provide competition as well as bodies to chase the break for the sprint showdown in Montilla.
