Dane Cash’s picks: At this point, Mark Cavendish, Arnaud Démare, and Caleb Ewan seem pretty closely matched. As fast as Démare was en route to victory on stage 6, had any number of tiny tactical details been different, things could have gone a different way. I might like Ewan a bit better than most for stage 11, but I don’t like him significantly more than Cavendish or Démare in what looks like a dead heat.
Fernando Gaviria, Giacomo Nizzolo, Mathieu van der Poel, and – if he’s healthy enough to race – Biniam Girmay are also worth watching on the day.
