Meet the Maker: Mark Kelly of Lyrebird Cycles
Winemaker by day, bicycle framemaker by night, Mark Kelly of Lyrebird Cycles has an incredibly interesting and truly unique approach to making bikes.
At the recent Handmade Bicycle Show Australia, we got the man from Beechworth (a town in Victoria’s High Country) in front of the camera. Here we asked about his truly unique construction process that involves wrapping wood veneer and carbon fibre, his choice of Australian hardwoods, his theory on ride quality, and where the Lyrebird name comes from.
