L39ION of Los Angeles unveils 2021 rosters

The L39ION of Los Angeles team has announced the rosters for its UCI Continental team and its USA Cycling Domestic Elite team for 2021, confirming that notable newcomers like Ty Magner and Freddy Ovett are coming aboard next season.

Magner will join the L39ION Continental team after spending the past three years with Rally. The 29-year-old American is a fast finisher with a Tour of Utah stage win on his list of career achievements. Ovett spent 2020 with the Israel Cycling Academy Continental squad. The 26-year-old Australian climber counts top 10s at the Tour de Langkawi and the Herald Sun Tour on his career palmares.

Also arriving for next year are Alex Cowan, Angel Muñoz, and Sam Boardman, joining returning riders Cory Williams, Eder Frayre, Hunter Grove, Lance Haidet, and Tyler Williams.

The co-ed Domestic Elite team will field plenty of talent as well as Kendall Ryan comes over from Tibco-SVB, and Skylar Schneider joins after three seasons with Boels-Dolmans. The seven-rider Domestic Elite roster also includes team founder Justin Williams as well as Ama Nsek, Avry Howes, Imeh Nsek, and Isaiah Oliver.

In full, the organization counts 17 riders among its two squads.

In addition to racing international and domestic road events, L39ION – which will be sponsored by Zwift for the next two years – will also be active on the virtual racing scene next year. The team will get its 2021 campaign underway with events in the Zwift Racing League Premier Division.
