Jai Hindley climbs into Sun Tour lead with Falls Creek stage win

FALLS CREEK, Australia (CT) – Jai Hindley (Sunweb) has taken out the first mountain-top finish of the 2020 Sun Tour, beating 2017 winner Damien Howson (Mitchelton-Scott) and Seb Berwick (St George) in a three-up sprint at the end of the 30km-long stage-ending climb.
Pre-race favourite Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) was dropped from the lead group with around 6 km to go.
Hindley now moves into the yellow leader’s jersey with three stages remaining.
