EF Education-Nippo becomes EF Education-EasyPost for '2022 and beyond'

EF Education-Nippo has become EF Education-EasyPost as the team unveiled a new title sponsor on Friday. Nippo, meanwhile, will stay on as a partner and will continue to be a title sponsor of the squad’s development team.

EasyPost, a US-based company that provides shipping solutions through APIs, has already been with the team as a partner since the 2021 Tour de France. According to a press release, the squad will now race under the EF Education-EasyPost moniker “in 2022 and beyond,” which takes the team through at least its fifth season with education and travel company EF.

The team’s announcement of the news stated that EasyPost was founded in 2012 and “has thousands of customers shipping billions of dollars worth of packages annually. The company’s founder and CEO, Jarrett Streebin, noted that he had been aware of EF team CEO Jonathan Vaughters for some time.

“There was never a question where we’d get involved when we looked at cycling. I’ve followed JV’s work since Argyle and sideburns,” Streebin said.

“He leads the world in his commitment to ethical cycling and pushing the boundaries of human performance. JV has also led cycling in his approach to nutrition and technology. In the same manner, EasyPost leads its industry in reliability and technology. So we’re excited to combine forces with the greatest American cycling team.”

EF recently confirmed a 31-rider lineup for 2022, with big names like Rigoberto Urán, Hugh Carthy, Alberto Bettiol, and Lachlan Morton returning to the team and new arrivals like Esteban Chaves and Mark Padun coming aboard.
