Alvarado ultimately settled for second in the series after finishing sixth on the day. Just the same, she will start next weekend’s ‘cross worlds among the top favorites for the victory.
With Alvarado signed for the next four years, Alpecin-Fenix can expect to continue racking up big results for several seasons to come – and yet Alvarado will still be just 25 years old when the contract is up.
