Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN in the saddle with ASSOS of Switzerland
Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN announce a new deal linking it with high-precision cycling equipment supplier, ASSOS of Switzerland. The partnership, which is powered by a shared commitment to precision engineering and the advancement of technology-driven equipment, will join two companies working at the highest levels within sport technology.
For our first collaboration together, we’ve created a jersey inspired by the blurring “speed shift” effect of race machines in motion.
Both ASSOS and Sauber Motorsport, the organisation running Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN, are fiercely proud of the Swiss precision, history and engineering principles that have been driving them both for the last fifty years. The core mission of ASSOS is to produce equipment, not clothing: a mission that has seen it live by its mantra of “destroy, reset, improve” on its way to more than 400 Olympic and World Championship medals. With more than 25 patents, ASSOS develops its own textiles and refines its product over the course of several years, aiming for the symbiosis of total comfort and technical performance.
As part of this relationship, ASSOS will provide Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN with bespoke cycling apparel to assist in the advancement of the health, well-being and performance of the team’s drivers and personnel.
Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal of Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN: “The key to success is not just technological advance, but mainly human performance: ASSOS shares this principle with us – they relentlessly improve their products to extract the best from every human being. ASSOS will help our drivers and all team members unlock their full potential by pushing them towards better health and well-being: I can’t wait to start working with them.”
Derek Bouchard-Hall, CEO of ASSOS of Switzerland: “ASSOS and Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN are kindred spirits – both organizations seek to push the boundaries of human performance through technological innovation. We leapt at the chance to work with the team when we discovered that our admiration for their exceptional F1 team was matched by their passion for cycling and the ASSOS brand.”
About ASSOS:
Equipment, not clothing. Across more than 45 years, more than 400 Olympic and World Championship medals, and 25 patents, ASSOS protocol remains steadfast: DESTROY, RESET, IMPROVE.
