Tyler Farrar blaze to stage victory in Tirreno-Adriatico
Team Garmin-Cervelo was totally in control of the sprint in Tirreno-Adriatico delivering American Tyler Farrar to the stage win and race lead by two seconds over Rabobank’s Tom Leezer after a perfect lead-out by world champion Thor Hushovd.
Thor Hushovd set such a high pace that Petacchi, team Lampre, couldn’t manage to come around, while Saxo Bank-SunGard’s JJ Haedo came in third.
