Murilo Fischer wins Trofeo Magalluf-Palmanova
Garmin-Cervélo’s Murilo Fischer takes final stage of Mallorca Challenge and adding the team’s ninth victory of the season. The Brazilian champion outsprinted three-time World champion Oscar Freire (Rabobank) inot second place, with yesterday’s Trofeo Deià winner José Joaquin Rojas (Movistar) third.
Team Movistar brought the peloton into the finish, but it was Fischer who was the fastest; the Brazilian took Garmin-Cervélo’s third victory in the five race series after Tyler Farrar’s double in the first two.
