Castelli at IRONMAN 70.3 St. Pölten
The European triathlon season is already well underway and last weekend the first big Austrian race of the year took place in St. Pölten. It’s an advanced race and very popular within the triathlon family. Athletes are released in several waves (pros, multiple age groups). The swim is quite unique, as it’s the only triathlon with a two lake swim leg, interrupted by an Australian exit and a few hundreds meter of run in between.
Out of the water, athletes quickly hit high-speed riding on a closed motorway towards Wachau. Most competitors won’t have eyes for the beauty of this World Cultural Heritage during the race which comes up with some demanding climbing in the second half of the 90k bike split. Back at the event area, a two loop half marathon to downtown St. Pölten completes the day.
Our pro athletes claim high standards and at Castelli we develop our clothing for maximum comfort, suitability and aerodynamics. Being still a new brand in the triathlon business, it’s good to see that also more and more amateurs are wearing the scorpion and trust in our call to offer the best triathlon clothing on the market.
During the day at St. Pölten we saw athletes in pieces from all our three lines: Body Paint, Free and Core, some even fully customized.
