BODY-PAINT, THE BEST SHORTS I HAVE EVER WORN.
The Body Paint Bibshorts eliminates seams, stitching, and irritation by engineering all the traditional components of the short into a single piece of fabric with only one seam for pro level comfort.
CAD fabric means the traditional 8 panel construction and gripper elastic are woven directly into the fabric for nearly seamless construction and comfort
The single piece of fabric eliminates seams and covers the rider’s lower body as if it were painted on; this helps harness the output potential of the rider’s muscles and facilitates blood flow in the capillaries, getting more oxygen to the muscles. It also makes for a smoother fit, which creates less airflow turbulence and therefore less drag, which makes you faster.
Nicely integrated leg grippers. The shoulder straps are satin-like in their feel.
The minimalist nature of the shorts extends up to the bib straps, which are constructed of seamless elastic Giro++ fabric and backed with a light mesh fabric for maximum cooling in the hot days of summer. These paired with Cervélo-TestTeam’s all-time favorite seatpad (Progetto X2), which took over two years to develop, should make for a very satisfied Garmin-Cervelo team in the saddle on the rough cobbles in Belgium.
Progetto X2 chamois is seamless where it counts with multi-density cushion on the other side of the red foam, Skin Care layer.
The Progetto X2 seatpad is different from most multi-density crotch savers on the market. Instead of a bunch of raised ridges settling against your skin, the skin-side surface of the seatpad is one smooth piece. The multi-density cushion of the chamois is on the other side of the foam – and created by cutting away sections of a single block of uncompressed foam to create variable densities.
The multi-density Progetto X2 seatpad features three perforated gel inserts – two under the ischial sit bones and one in the perineum area. They’re called a ‘viscous comfort zone’ and are so thin, I could not tell they were even there, which says a lot about how well they integrate with the pad.
“I’ve been training with the BodyPaint bibshorts a lot for the last week and I think they are awesome.” – HEINRICH HAUSSLER
“The seatpad is really good, and I even use it without chamois cream. Good job!
– THOR HUSHOVD
“Great short with a perfect fit. The seatpad seems to have a better fit then last year!
– ANDREAS KLIER
“It’s a big call, but I think these may be the best shorts I’ve ever worn. I LOVE THEM. The cut is simply fabulous, fit superb, in fact the fit so well that it’s like they’ve been custom made for me.”
