Watch This French Rock Climber Dominate a 9b+ Grade

A 9b+ grade — or 5.15 c — is the second-hardest grade of climbing in the world. Watch Black Diamond athlete Seb Bouin tick it off his list.

Seb Bouin worked on this not-so-little project for months — climbing “Beyond Integral,” a route in southern France rated 9b+. He made the first ascent of the route in 2020. And now, an official film documenting his effort is here.

Bouin’s other hard route accomplishments include Biographie (5.15a), Mamichula (5.15b), The Dream (5.15b, FA), and Terra Nova (5.14).

Watch, cringe, cheer him on, get inspired, and enjoy.

Run time: 12 minutes. Black Diamond Equipment produced this film.
