Tune In to ‘Plaisir FM,’ the Coolest Radio Show This Side of Ski Films

If a radio station could play rad ski edits and broadcast them to the world, you best believe we’d all be tuning in — just like the folks in K2’s ‘Plaisir FM.’

The moment is approaching when everyone will tune in. People are getting ready, whether they’re at a bar, in a cafe, at home, with friends, or by themselves. Dials turn. Radios find the channel. Static comes over the speaker. And then: it’s show time.

Plaisir FM is a short film from K2 about a fictional radio DJ’s show (called Plaisir FM). The DJ opines on his love for skiing, talks about the conditions of the day, and how good snow, time in nature, and time on skis can solve some of society’s problems.

“A day is better spent in joy and good mood,” the French DJ says.

Then, he lines up a track for his listeners. But instead of playing music, he rolls a video edit of some action on the slopes.

There’s something nostalgic about people tuning in from all over the place to listen to a single show together. That feeling is conveyed perfectly through Plaisir FM. It makes you wish that such a radio show actually existed. And it makes you dream of sunny days on the mountain, getting great turns in.

The word “plaisir” means “pleasure” in French. And that’s exactly what you’ll get watching this short film by Alex Remonnay from K2.
