Teva, Polaroid Pair to Launch Retro Sandals With a Custom Camera
Catering to ’90s babies and other would-be time travelers, Teva this week teams up with Polaroid to create ‘nostalgic’ sandals in bold colors. The collection also includes a Polaroid 600 camera for capturing your favorite adventure moments.
The limited-edition Teva x Polaroid collection launched this week with classic, throwback Teva sandal designs ($70-80) and a custom refurbished Polaroid 600 camera ($160). Every item incorporates REPREVE yarn straps, made from recycled plastic.
“Inspired by the rich nostalgic heritage the two brands share, the collection is a celebration of creative expression designed to help people capture instant memories,” reads the press release.
Splashes of Polaroid’s iconic rainbow accent the camera’s face and decorate the sandals’ heel straps. The sandals include the Original Universal Polaroid ($70) in gray and the Midform Universal Polaroid ($80) in bright red.
Each sandal has a four-point webbing upper, an EVA midsole for comfort, and a rubber outsole for grip on the trail. They come in a wide range of sizes, starting at a men’s 4/women’s 5 and topping out at a men’s 14/women’s 15. That covers pretty much everyone.
