‘Shredpacking’ Blurs the Line Between Dirt Jumping and Bikepacking

These guys took fully loaded bikepacking rigs over jumps, drops, and gnarly terrain just for the fun of it.

If your bikepacking trips take you over a lot of singletrack, you know the fear of getting air with a fully loaded rig. This video takes that notion to the extreme, following bikers Evan Christenson and Christian Pepper as they soar over jumps and barrel down singletrack with deceptive grace.

The video is the latest installment in a series that follows Christenson around North America as he rides and chats with adventure cyclists of all stripes.

The series arrives thanks to Old Man Mountain, a bikepacking gear company known for producing sturdy racks and bags. You can catch up on the full run of the series (so far) on Old Man Mountain’s YouTube channel.
