San Fran Surfers Rejoice in Waves From Recent Bomb Cyclone
Humans are a resilient bunch.
A week ago, a bomb cyclone dumped massive rainfall on an already-saturated California and killed two people.
Flooding continues throughout the state with more rain forecast this week, and the fraught conditions have killed another 12 people as of this morning.
But surfers in the Golden State are taking the atmospheric beating with a grain of salt. Case in point: these Bay Area riders, who linked up for a solid session on barrels below the Golden Gate Bridge on Jan. 5.
As you might expect from waves produced by what some are calling a 50-year storm, there’s plenty of overhead in this short clip.
When life gives you waves — ride ‘em.
