National Park Bicycles: State Launches Special-Edition Builds for Iconic Public Lands
A Yellowstone cruiser, a Joshua Tree grinder, and a Redwoods fixie are just some of the eye-popping new bikes from State Bicycle Co.
State Bicycle Co. has gobbled up market share in the beyond-overcrowded bike industry for two reasons: Builds that don’t break the average Joe’s budget, and styles that are as capable as they are handsome.
And just in time for cooler weather and more comfortable rides, State unveiled a hot new collection of limited-edition bikes and gear. What’s more, the bikes mark a partnership with the National Park Foundation (NPF), so proceeds from the sale of each bike (and gear, too) will benefit the organization.
Check out the bikes and gear below.

In all, the collection includes four different bike builds in five park-specific color schemes, along with specially designed handlebar bags and cycling apparel.
Klunker Yellowstone / Grand Canyon Edition — $500
To start, State has two limited versions of its go-anywhere cruiser, the Klunker. The rainbow-splashed Yellowstone (above) and rose-colored Grand Canyon (below) each build on a steel frame with BMX bars, one speed, and 2.3″ tires.
Best of all, this cruiser sports a coaster brake, so it is 100% about riding in style.
4130 Road Glacier — $650
The road-specific Glacier Edition has mounts for racks and fenders in front and rear, boasts an 8-speed drivetrain, and has classic downtube shifters that move through the 11-28t cassette. The bike comes spec’d with 28c tires, but can squeeze up to 32c treads.
4130 All Road Joshua Tree — $990
Crush some gravel on the Joshua Tree Edition’s 38c tires. This gravel build has all sorts of eyelets for mounting, on the fork, seat tube, and stays, and runs 11 speeds. The All Road also has a burly thru-axle and is available with either 700 or 650b wheels.
Core-Line Redwood — $400
Bull horns, one brake, and plenty of speed — the Redwood-homage Core-Line is an urban fixie with wild flair. Of course, you can flip the rear wheel and run a freewheel hub to keep that flair in check. Beyond that, it’s as perfectly simple as a bike gets.
Bar Bags — $40
In addition to the eye-catching complete bikes, State also has a limited run of colorful handlebar bags.
Built to fit “virtually any bike,” the bags sport weather-repellent 1000D CORDURA construction and water-resistant YKK zippers.
Jerseys, Cargo Bibs — $50-90
Rounding out the collection are some upbeat designs for jerseys and cargo bibs. Four jerseys tag along with the bikes and bags’ color schemes. Each jersey uses 100% post-consumer recycled polyester.
Two designs sport a rear pocket and run $80, and the other two run a streamlined cut and cost $50. The carbo bibs cost $90.
