Life Time Opens Registration for Off-Road Cycling Camps Across US
Life Time wants to get more people on bikes. With its new cycling camp, the brand is providing an all-inclusive experience.
Life Time’s Rideaway Experience cycling camp isn’t about competitive racing. It’s about welcoming beginners and enthusiasts of the sport.
“The camp will offer riders of all abilities an inclusive environment focused on adventure, culture and community,” Life Time wrote in its announcement. “Camp goers will be immersed in a fully supported, all-encompassing riding adventure piloted by world-class guides and focused on building connections on and off the bike.”
Camps are limited to 30 participants. Youth riders are welcome as long as they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be riding with them. The first camps will take place in the summer and fall of 2021 in Arkansas, Colorado, and Utah.
“As an organization who builds connections through event experiences, we wanted to create something to fill the void from this past year,” said Ryan Cross, a marketing manager at Life Time.
“In an effort to continue to build meaningful relationships in a different capacity and stay connected with our communities, the idea for the Rideaway Experience was born. You don’t have to worry about any of the details. You just need to show up ready to have fun and ride bikes.”
Camp Details and Registration
The camps will take place at three locations across the U.S., all with different start and end dates. The Rideaway Experience camp schedule is below:
- Bentonville, Ark.: April 29-May 2, 2021
- Boulder, Colo.: June 10-13, 2021
- Zion, Utah: Nov. 11-14, 2021
The experience includes lodging, bike support, routes, guides, entertainment, meals, and photography. (Note: The camp doesn’t provide personal sleeping items, so be sure to bring a sleeping bag in addition to your bike.) The three locations offer a diverse selection of riding from mountain biking to gravel biking, singletrack, and mountain roads.
“This camp is for riders of all abilities. Riders under 18 are allowed. E-bikes are totally welcome, and we’d certainly like to keep the door open to adaptive riders as well,” said Life Time. However, certain locations’ trails won’t be able to accommodate hand cyclists, so reach out to camp organizers with any questions before registering.
Pricing for each camp begins at $899, which includes everything except travel to and from the destination. Registration for the Bentonville camp is open now. Registration for the Boulder location opens on March 15, and registration for Zion opens on April 15. If the camps fill up, waitlist slots will be available.
