Kye Petersen Rediscovers ‘Sea-to-Sky Corridor’ in British Columbia

A group of close friends explores the winter wonderland of British Columbia’s backcountry in the first part of this series from YouTube’s Matchstick Productions.

I’m not sure snow has ever looked quite as sexy as it does here.

As one of the skiers in this excellent edit notes early on, weather works differently in British Colombia’s coastal mountains, resulting in beautiful and unique formations.

Perhaps for that reason, this first episode is called Formation and sees skiers (including Kye Petersen) exploring the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, a coveted backcountry ski area that includes Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton.

Keep an eye out for future episodes of this series, Sacred Grounds, which will also travel to Alaska, the Japanese Alps, and other stellar ski spots.

Runtime: 21 minutes
