Jackson Hole Reopens Tram: Access to 4,000-Plus Feet of Vertical Terrain

Want to take a tram ride up to the highest mountain at Jackson Hole Resort? Rendezvous’ summit sits at over 10,000 feet. And the most exciting part is not the ride up, but that you’ll get to ski down.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort announced that it will open the iconic Aerial Tram for the winter 2021-2022 season today, Dec. 21, 2021.

The Aerial Tram offers 4,139 vertical feet of skiing and riding, which starts at the tippy top of the resort’s Rendezvous Mountain.

Tuesday’s opening marks the first time the Aerial Tram will run at full capacity since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. And because it won’t be open for sightseers, the only way you’re getting on the tram is if you’re there to ski.

In honor of its reopening, here’s a highlight reel from the tram’s first season — back in 2017.
