Indoor Snowsport Company Launches With Members-Only Club You Can Join for Free

This newly founded snowsport company is launching a membership program to reinforce its mission of ‘Snowsports for Everyone.’

Virginia-based development company Alpine-X builds and designs indoor snowsports facilities. It’s also new to the industry, with its first location opening in 2025. And it’s already focusing less on the facilities and more on the communities around them by offering an exclusive membership club for winter enthusiasts.

And, membership in the club is free.

“As we build year-round, indoor snowsport resorts across North America, feedback and ideas from our founding members will help shape the Alpine-X experience for everyone,” said Alpine-X CEO John Emery. “We truly value the participation of the community and look forward to hearing their thoughts as we create this experience together.”

The goal of the program is to build community. “The U.S has an estimated 9.2 million active skiers and snowboarders,” reported Alpine-X. “[We seek] to grow that community by bringing snowsports closer to home and providing access year-round, thereby eliminating the traditional challenges of cost, geography, and seasonality.”

Alpine-X has decided on a membership program structure for the club and will focus on offering gear, discounts, and support to club members. Most importantly, the community-oriented club is available at no cost, hopefully eliminating the financial barrier of entry newcomers may have previously faced.

Here’s what you can look forward to as a founding member:

  • Invitations to special events
  • Discounts on lift tickets and equipment rentals at Alpine-X resorts
  • Emails with special announcements and offers
  • Discounts on merchandise
  • Discounts on hotels and lodging
  • Exclusive coupons from local ski shops and Alpine-X resort partners
  • And more!

Alpine-X Resorts will open its flagship location this year and hopes to have 20+ locations in the U.S. It will offer skiing and snowboarding, but also “no-skill” activities like snow tubing and snow play, ropes courses, and coasters. Learn more.
