He Left the Freeride World Tour, But This Black Diamond Athlete Is Still Skiing

Black Diamond athlete Jérémy Prevost shares his story — and new ski philosophy — after leaving the freeride podium behind 10 years ago.

At age 21, Jérémy Prevost competed in the Freeride World Tour. He won second place at the Verbier Xtreme stop, then podiumed third overall that season. In his second season, he didn’t see the podium at all. So he pulled out of the FWT.

“For a long time, leaving the tour was hard for me to digest, and my passion for skiing was gone,” Prevost said in an interview with the U.K.-based Fall Line ski mag.

Now 32, Prevost says he may never wear a bib again. But that’s OK. What exactly is this retired-comp freeskier up to? As Prevost says, “My taste for skiing is still there.” Watch the full film to find out.
