Griffin Post and Michelle Parker Shred the Big Stuff With Points North Heli

In a stunning segment from the TGR film ‘Magic Hour,’ Griffin Post and Michelle Parker get a taste of how big Alaska’s mountains really are.

When it comes to heli-skiing, Alaska is far and away the crown jewel destination. And within that crown jewel, at its very heart (or actually, closer to its coastline) is Cordova. Renowned for its steep mountain walls, deep coastal powder, and huge elevation gains, this area of Alaska is something of a ski mecca.

And that is what brought Griffin Post and Michelle Parker there. The two pro skiers were on a quest to find the best of the best. So they (and their producers at TGR) contracted Points North Heli, a guide company based out of Cordova, to show them where the sweet spots are.

This segment from the TGR ski film Magic Hour leaves you wanting more. Both Post and Parker scale pinnacle ridges and get dropped off at the top of gut-churningly steep peaks. Then they, along with their guide, drop into what looks like some of the best skiing anyone’s ever done, anywhere.

It’s hard not to salivate when you watch these skiers slashing powder turns down sheer faces of untouched snow. If ever there was motivation to try heli-skiing, this is it. And if you happen to find yourself in Cordova in need of a guide, you know where to go. Points North Heli has some of the best in the biz.
