Give a Bike, Get a Bike: Check Out The Pro’s Closet Trade-In Program

Trade up your ride for a brand-new Giant or Liv mountain bike through the shop’s online program.

The Pro’s Closet — a Colorado-based online preowned bike and gear shop — teamed up with Giant and Liv Cycling to create its first used trade-in program. And it’s a program that both companies hope will make bike upgrades easier and more affordable.

“This first-of-its kind program allows anyone to trade a used bike — of any bike brand — to The Pro’s Closet and receive a voucher to put toward the purchase of a new Liv or Giant bike,” The Pro’s Closet told us.

“From the beginning, our TradeUP program was developed to make selling an existing bike to help finance a new bike as easy as walking into your local bike shop,” said The Pro’s Closet Travis Erwin. “We’re excited to partner with these innovative brands and expand this program to Giant and Liv retail locations.”

Giant focuses on men’s bikes, while Liv is a sister company to Giant and works as a dedicated women’s bike brand.

How It Works: Upgrade to a Giant or Liv

Giant Contend 3

Anyone in the U.S. or Canada can apply for this program, and it all happens online.

Riders interested in upgrading their current bike first apply to the TradeUP program. The process involves taking a few photos of your ride, entering a description of the bike, and then your own info. Then, The Pro’s Closet’s team of experts appraise each bike submitted.

Within 24 hours, customers can expect to hear back with the appraised value and a voucher for their new bike.

Trade-in vouchers can only be used for Giant or Liv bike models.(The voucher can be used for other gear too, as long as part of it is also put towards a bike. Score!)

Finally, you’ll take your trade-in to a participating Giant or Liv retailer, where you can conveniently pick up your new ride. Looking for more info? Learn more, or start your trade-in here.
