Generation Gap: Alexander Megos, Sharma Collab to Climb ‘Rastaman Vibrations’ 5.15b
When you live on the limit of adventure sports, sometimes it turns out you’re even farther ahead of the curve than you thought.
That was the case when Chris Sharma bolted what would become “Rastaman Vibrations” (9b/5.15b) about 10 years ago.
Sharma couldn’t redpoint it at the time, and neither could any of the rest of the world’s best rock climbers.
Skip ahead a generation in the sport and enter Alexander Megos, who flat-out crushes at Ceuse. Watch the consummate phenom talk through his episodic history with the route here.
(Also, of course, watch him climb it — if you thought Ceuse was just off-vertical climbing on pockets, prepare for the route’s opening moves to decisively change your mind.)
Runtime: 13 minutes
