Fox Racing Proframe RS Helmet: Advanced Protection, Slick Features

The new helmet from Fox Racing provides lightweight, full-face protection suitable for all but the most extreme downhill rides.

Fox Racing’s Proframe helmet line has a new addition. The Proframe RS packs a ton of advanced safety and comfort features into a lightweight package meant for trail and enduro riding but capable of handling park laps as well. And does it with style to boot.

The Proframe RS uses a new MIPS system that Fox is calling Integra Split. The system utilizes two layers of foam: an outer EPS layer for high impacts and an inner EPP layer for low-speed impacts.

The outer and inner layers can move independently, helping minimize rotational force upon impact. And the Proframe RS’s design maximizes ventilation and minimizes facial contact, aiming for optimal comfort (for a full-faced helmet).

The three-position adjustable visor can be locked via a screw on the top of the helmet. In the high position, the visor reveals space for a GoPro mount (included). Another slick nod toward usability is the magnetic buckle on the chin strap, which makes securing or removing the helmet a cinch — even with gloves on.

A BOA Fit System, two sizes of cheek pads, and an adjustable head cradle help dial in the fit. Bonus: The liner and cheek pads are antimicrobial.

The Fox Racing Proframe RS runs $359 and comes in small, medium, and large. And fear not — a range of color options means you’ll be styling to the max. Who says safety has to be boring?
