Enter the ‘CHAMELEON’: Torin Yater-Wallace Produces Another Deviate Films Banger
A chameleon in nature can blend into any backdrop they find themselves in. A chameleon on the slopes can ski with anyone, in any environment they’re thrown into.
Torin Yater-Wallace and Jossi Wells started filming CHAMELEON together back in 2019. But that was before a string of injuries put Wells on the bench, unable to compete or even perform in his own ski film. With Wells out, Yater-Wallace decided to press on.
So, Yater-Wallace started skiing in new locations, with new skiers, in different environments. He went to British Columbia, Sweden, Montana, and Minnesota, skiing with the likes of Quinn Wolferman, Kim Boberg, Cody LaPlante, Cody Wilder Ray, and others, in the backcountry, in resort terrain parks, and out on the streets.
He became a chameleon, in order to fill the gaping hole left by his partner’s absence.
This is the latest ski edit from Deviate Films — what they call a “visual diversion.” Broken up with colorful cartoon bridges, the short film is a mash-up of skiing that gets the stoke on high. The athletes in CHAMELEON are absolutely dripping with steaze.
Runtime: 22 minutes
