Cyclist Clears Path With Homemade Bicycle Snowplow

What does it take to plow snow with an electric bicycle? Apparently just ingenuity and a willingness to try something no one had thought of before.

In this short news vid from CBC Vancouver, it takes less than 2 minutes to discover a new cycling hero.

Philip Marciniak makes his living with service calls repairing appliances. That means he needs to get around — and he uses a homemade bicycle snowplow to do it.

Marciniak strapped a plow onto an electric bicycle, made some tweaks, and started burrowing his way through the snowy streets of Vancouver.

“People were like waving at me and laughing,” he said. “It was really a fun time.”

With this short vid, you’ll have a good time too.
