‘Bass Outdoor’: G.H. Bass & Co. Launches New Chapter in 150-Year Gear Journey
The heritage brand G.H. Bass & Co. is stepping into this new chapter with a new outdoor lifestyle brand that includes stylish lines for men and women, as well as an updated take on its gear for the 21st century.
If you dug through your parents’ or grandparents’ or even great-grandparents’ old gear, you might find the brand G.H. Bass & Co. interspersed throughout their gear closet.
Starting today, G.H. Bass & Co. has launched its new outdoor lifestyle brand as Bass Outdoor, and they’re as committed as ever to providing outdoor gear for everyone.
Read on for more about this new iteration of heritage outdoor.
Intro to the New Bass Outdoor
With the line “Outdoors Uncomplicated” as a starting point, Bass Outdoor reflects that ethos in gear that is both affordable and attractive. Where you might pay up to $100 or more for many brands’ sherpa fleece vests, you can find a similar look on Bass Outdoor for just $59.
The brand features a full mens’ and womens’ apparel line, shoe line, and home and accessory line that will continue to expand over the next few months. You can also find the brand’s offerings at Macys.com.
Apparel starts as low as $22 for T-shirts and maxes out at $130 for heavy-duty jackets. Footwear starts at $50 and goes up to $125. And more accessories will be coming soon to the line.
My Bass Outdoor Faves
What I like about this line is that the designers and product folk have pulled looks that are now ubiquitous in both the city and the field while making them affordable for everyone.
Integrations like the classic duck boot, high pile sherpa fleece, buffalo plaid, and classic flannels mean that Bass Outdoor can integrate into your fall look seamlessly while transitioning easily into the outdoors.
Here are five of my favorite pieces for men and women in the line-up.
Men’s Mission Flannel Puffer Jacket: $89
Women’s Field Lined Camo Slippers: $59
Women’s Fastline Trail Leggings: $59
Men’s Storm Hiking Tech Jacket: $119
Women’s Hiking Sherpa Vest: $59
