Appease the ‘Sea Gods’: Check Out the Brand’s 2022 Inflatable Standup Paddleboards
Sea Gods makes inflatable standup paddleboards for beginners and seasoned adventurers. Its line of 2022 SUPs introduces a new PVC construction and refined board shapes.
Canadian watercraft brand Sea Gods wants you to get on top of the water this summer with a standup paddleboard for lakes, rivers, or ocean surf tours. The brand makes a variety of inflatable paddleboard styles for newbie lake paddlers and more adventure-minded racers alike.
Inflatable SUPs are compact enough to store in a closet and made with a travel-friendly design, whether you’re driving or catching a flight to the water.
The performance features you want in a SUP will depend on your experience level, the types of water you’ll paddle on, and how you prioritize speed, maneuverability, and stability. There are also height and weight considerations for riders (more on that later).
The Sea Gods Way
Sea Gods designs its boards in-house and adds new materials and construction elements to its lineup. In fact, this year’s paddleboards have upgraded PVC ULF technology and heat-molded seams.
Ultra Light Fusion technology fuses layers of PVC without the glue used in traditional double-layer SUPs. This process creates more stiffness and weight savings, as there’s no glue.
Sea Gods SUPs are constructed with drop-stitch fabric laminated to a 1.7mm PVC to hold the shape. However, the Skylla uses a new cross-woven drop stitch that cuts down on the overall weight while maintaining the strength you expect from Sea Gods.
Each paddleboard fits a kayak seat and has a shoulder-carry strap, mounts for action cameras, and tie-down points for bungees.
The hands-on design continues into its accessories, from a carbon fiber paddle to a leash, fin, and bag. Sea Gods uses an Air 7 V2 Universal US fin box on its SUPs that accept multiple fin styles.
Additionally, the paddleboards can be inflated quicker with any Halkey-Roberts inflation pump. These SUPs max out at 20 psi, with recommendations of 14 to 18 psi.
For its board graphics, the brand commissions artists it admires. The new boards showcase designs by different creators each year. This year, the work of British Columbia-based Mark Anthony Jacobson, Luke MacBain, and Olivia di Liberto, Hawaii-based Colleen Malia Wilcox, Ontario-based Sandy and Steve Pell, Nova Scotia-based Lindsay Kokoska, and Russia-based Markovka.
Let’s take a closer look.

Get Afloat
Inflatable paddleboards can be stored in a compact space and are more travel-friendly than hardtop boards. You don’t need a garage, shed, or other ample storage space to own one and get on the water.
Sea Gods makes a range of inflatable paddleboards for flatwater newbies and experienced adventure tourers. Each can be inflated with an electric pump to reach the desired psi, and the brand even makes a wheeled backpack for easier carrying. After all, not every body of water is a short stroll from the parking lot.
