There’s more to see than the sweeping mountain views from the aerial tram called Big Red, located at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
“The crow’s nest is the core of making sure the tram is safe. The tram is the heartbeat of the valley,” the tram team shared.
Mike Vase, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s head tram mechanic, and his dedicated team, including Zack Hudson, Sarah Knobe, and Cliff Roberts, take us to the “crow’s nest,” a perch high above Big Red that’s rarely seen.
“The machine itself offers such an experience to people. The big focus of my job is to make sure things are running smoothly, and safely,” said Vase.
The film ascends 4,139 vertical feet to show the inner workings above the aerial tram and what goes into keeping the system running smoothly — all season long.
