Abandoned Land to Homestead in 1 Year: Watch How It’s Done

Project Kamp aims to build an off-grid community from the ground up — in the most literal way possible.

Own less stuff. Instead, share utilities, resources, and knowledge to create a more localized, environmentally harmonious community — that’s the aim behind Project Kamp. Beyond being a lofty mission, the crowd-supported initiative is sharing every step and every lesson of building a homestead from scratch.

On top of that, the project won’t stop with just an off-grid home; the community supporting the work wants to make an entire neighborhood. That means a farm, a “big kitchen,” multiple dwellings — even a food truck called the “Italian Guy.”

Don’t believe us? Check out their blueprint.

The entire process is being chronicled in video and season two just started. So catch up with all the progress from season one right now. And if the spirit moves you, join in!
